Marking by tattooing the skin or mucous membranes is used by doctors to preserve visual cues used in therapy. This is the case for marking in radiotherapy. These pigments mark the window corresponding to the irradiation field with dots, guaranteeing perfect targeting and reproducibility of tumor irradiation. Once the protocol has been completed, the pigment fades so that the patient retains no stigma of the disease he or she has overcome.
