Program of the Medical Module

Day 1

Concepts of reparative dermal pigmentation

  • Instrumentation:  medical motors, needles vs. hygiene modules, ancillary instruments
  • Chemistry (simplified):  colorant and pigment, colored implant, solution, dispersion, homogeneity
  • Colorimetry:  basic colorimetry, spectrophotometry, metamerism
  • The skin:  anatomy and physiology of the skin, pathological skin, the pigment in the skin
  • Legislation:  acts, legal interpretation (medical experts and judges), what does 'CE' mean?  True and false CE, legal protection, hygiene in corrective dermal pigmentation

Pigmentation:  the techniques

  • Review:  primary lines / secondary lines
  • Elaborate lines:  filling (flat, seeding, cloud), veiling (working in transparency, tint shading)
  • Corrective dermal pigmentation lines:  restructuring several tissues
  • Areolae / areolae to be reconstructed / 'trompe l’œil' / post-surgical scars:  augmentation and reduction mammoplasty.

  • Indications and limitations of corrective dermal pigmentation
  • The patient file:  pre-dermal pigmentation consultation / health check / information document / informed consent / photograph
  • Anesthesia in dermal pigmentation
  • Session implementation

Day 2:  Workshop

  • Pastel study:  paper medium
  • Workshop on a synthetic medium:  the various anatomical lines / the various techniques for chromatic restructuring
  • Workshop on 'artificial breasts'
  • Case studies
