 Director of Research & Development at BIOTIC PHOCEA, Dr. TIZIANO, former hospital resident plastic surgeon, has codified the method of Medical Dermal pigmentation in his seminal work * published in 1990.
In order to overcome the qualitative and regulatory inadequacy of the products available to him, Dr. Tiziano created a pigment designed for cutaneous chromatic repair and meeting the standards of medical devices.
The technique consists in pigmenting by 'tattooing' a pathological area of the skin to correct an achromia or mask a scar. Using the technique, it is also possible to correct a tissue impairment such as a lip destroyed by harelip or reconstruct a breast areola that has been amputated in the course of cancer surgery.

Manufactured and packaged in clean rooms from rigorously selected starting materials, BIOTIC PHOCEA pigments are sterilized by gamma radiation at a dose level greater than 25 kGy using a validated industrial method.
