· Perfect balance in the hand
The center of gravity is located at the natural resting hollow of the hand (anatomical hollow) and is not modified when needle extension is adjusted, unlike most dermographs, for which adjustment is conducted by screw rotation, lengthening or shortening the stylus.
· Ideal weight
The stylus, which weighs a little less than 80 grams, is light enough to prevent the hand becoming tired during intensive work and sufficiently heavy for the needle to easily penetrate the skin without having to exert pressure
· Miniaturization
The total length of the stylus with handle is 12.2 cm (cartridge model) or 13 cm (needle model). The diameter where the stylus is held between the fingers is like that of a pen (10 to 11 mm depending on the model).
· Speed
Adjustable and adjusted speed enabling slow work to prevent skin injury (50 to 180 strokes/s).
Do not confuse speed and power
- Speed: injury due to a high number of impacts
- Power: enabling rapid pigment set (power shown in W and high torque in Nm)
· Needle adjustment
Adjustment is precise and locking. The amplitude of the adjustment, 4.5 mm, is obtained using a knurled ring, which locks automatically every 0.3 mm (16 adjustment positions).
· Materials
The stylus body and key components are all metal for enhanced resistance to wear and impacts. The non-metallic components are made of an engineering plastic also used in aeronautics.
· Handle
The lower part of the stylus (pen) can be unscrewed and sterilized for absolute hygiene
· Needles and cartridges (BIOCEA or BIOCEA+)
You have the choicebetween using 'standard' needles, whose price is modest, or 'out of series' needles(1, 3, 5 and 7 beveled points and 2, 4 and 6 comb points), but all existing hygiene modules are also available (outlines and micro-points up to the power and sloped from 1 to 9 points).
